After the SPF has cured, the first 'base coat' layer is applied.  This gray layer contrasts with the pale yellow color of the SPF, ensuring complete, uniform coverage.

The final 'top coat' application is light colored again contrasting in color with the layer beneath it, which allows for total surface coverage.  The cured elastomeric acrylic membrane remains flexible yet durable, effectively sealing the roof from the environment.
